Remodel of a 25,000 square foot facility from a disorienting, institutional cafeteria into a welcoming, light-filled, gathering space. This transformation was accomplished by creating dynamic
spaces and using materials and colors found in commercial restaurants. Skylights were added to bring in natural light and at night they act as a focal point on campus when lit with uplighting. The layout created various social areas that lend themselves to students using the facility for eating,
studying and socializing. The inclusion of the Bookstore within the facility has also introduced more foot traffic into the facility.
Special features include a dining area, meeting rooms, ASB offices, a bookstore coffee bar, lounge area, and a commercial kitchen. Construction cost: $4,400,000
