| CAMPUS MODERNIZATION,
Carpinteria Middle School Both the Carpinteria Unified School District and City of Carpinteria wished to preserve the original building as an excellent example of the regional period of architecture. A new clock/bell tower has been designed as a focal point and as a tangible symbol of the community’s commitment to education. The tower also provides a vertical element that breaks up the building’s length. In the lower portion of the tower, a studio for high-tech video editing and production exemplifies the design’s dual-purpose of sustaining community image, while also incorporating state-of-the art facilities. |
