The campus site comprises 70 acres of mostly undeveloped hilly land in Santa Clarita’s Mint Canyon. The campus design focuses on matching the physical campus development with the sloping topography of the site, maximizing open space, and minimizing the overall visual impact of buildings. Campus buildings are sited on the lower and higher terrace, with about 50 feet difference in elevation between the two terraces. The lower loop road leads to a large landscaped pedestrian plaza from which a stepped promenade leads to upper areas and buildings. The plazas will be heavily planted with trees to provide shading for pavements and building surfaces.
