Cleveland Elementary School New Classrooms

Santa Barbara, CA

At Cleveland Elementary School, KBZ Architects recently completed a significant campus upgrade, replacing nine portable classroom buildings that had been on-site for over 25 years. The new permanent classrooms are naturally daylit, with four operable skylights per classroom.

Each space is equipped with HVAC cooling systems and features acoustical treatment on both the ceilings and walls, providing a quiet environment that is conducive to learning. All classrooms were designed to include the latest infrastructure to support online education and future technological needs.

Site improvements included a lower outdoor classroom with a mini amphitheater and an upper patio designed to accommodate a future shade structure. This project reflects our continued commitment to designing learning environments that are functional, enduring, and supportive of both students and educators.
